2 Oceans Maritime Academy is an RYA Sail Training Centre based in Hout Bay, Cape Town South Africa, and offers RYA practical and theory courses, Fast Track Sailing Programmes, mile builder trips and Adventure Sailing. The Academy was established in 2007 by Sean Cumming – a passionate and accomplished sailor, racing sailor, boat-builder and qualified teacher, who is driven by the desire to share his love of sailing with people who also crave adventure and freedom. He is an RYA certified Sail and Power Yachtmaster Instructor and the only RYA Cruising Instructor trainer in South Africa. He is also a qualified teacher and has over 20 years worth of experience in instruction, racing and working in the industry professionally.

Sean is fully involved in all aspects of training at 2 Oceans Maritime Academy ensuring that the centre’s standards are globally aligned. His commitment to excellence is the academy’s North Star, which guides the staff, instructors and students.
