This role, one step up from a Deckhand, is known by several titles: Lead Deckhand, Senior Deckhand or Bosun. The Bosun runs the entire deck team and is responsible for the smooth running of the day to day deck cleaning, maintenance, and other deck activities. You will have more contact with guests, so guest services become even more critical in this role. Two to three years of experience as a deckhand with the appropriate license needed for the specific vessel is usually necessary.
