A Deckhand’s responsibilities depend on the type of yacht (e.g. a motor or sail) and size. Still, these usually include a combination of cleaning and polishing the exterior of the yacht, transporting guests in the tender, assisting in the navigation when underway, operation of water sports etc. Certification may be required, and some experience on a superyacht is vital.
