This four-day intensive course is guaranteed to teach you all you need to know to get you started in the yachting industry. You will get a clear overview of back of service, front of house, laundry, crew etiquette, administration and human resources. By the end of the course, you will be able to accurately interpret exactly what your owner or charter guests want by assessing the situation thanks to your training.

 

Training description

1 Day Interior Service

Rough guidelines to the syllabus:

 

Understand and have the ability to apply the following different types of table service:

  • Plated Service – American Service
  • Silver Service – English Service
  • Butler Service – French Service
  • Family Service
  • Synchronized Service
  • Room Service
  • Buffet
  • Beverage Service- Tea/Coffee/Cocktails/Wine and Water
 

Understand and have the ability to apply the following:

  •  Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Service
  •  Mise en place
  • Caviar Service
  • Hors d’oeuvres/ Canapés / Appetizers
  • Room Service
  • Buffet / Banqueting Service
  • Back of house cleaning
  • Table setting and decoration
  • Napkin etiquette including how to lay a guest napkin/ how to tidy and how to replace a guest napkin
  • BBQ Service

  • Crew & Guest laundry

  • Correct use and routine maintenance of the washing machine
  • Correct use and routine maintenance of the tumble drier, especially the importance of cleaning the filters
  • Correct use & routine maintenance of the iron
